Family Holiday Lego Mania

--What are you inspired to build? Kids, join us for a Holiday Lego program, where you stretch your imagination and create something to celebrate the season. Remember, we'll supply the legos, you supply the ideas.


Family Board Game Day
2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 26
--Are you "bored" yet? Kids, bring those new board games you got for Christmas, or play one of our games. "Head bandz", "Operation", "Connect 4" and other board games will be available during this drop in session. Come in anytime between 2 & 4 pm. Snacks will be served.

Hackley Public Library will be offering computer classes this winter. Space on library-owned computers is limited to 18 people, with the possibility of two people sharing a machine.; advanced registration is required for each class. Two identical sessions of each class are available: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. De’Ondra Pentecost will be teaching the classes, which will be held in the Julia Hackley Room. Call the Library’s main desk at 722-7276 to register. Registration starts two weeks before the class. Brought to you through the generosity of the PNC Foundation.

Gymnastics in the Library

Are you interested in gymnastics, dance, or cheering? Want to get active & have fun? Gymnastics instructor Brenda Gonyon will give us a glimpse into the world of gymnastics and competitive cheering as it is taught at her studio, Gonyon's Gymnastics of Muskegon. For children ages 3 and up.

Kids' New Year's Resolutions & Vision Board Craft

What do you want to do better in the new year? What goals are you trying to reach in 2013? Drop in from 2--4 pm and make a vision board you can look at every day to inspire you to reach your goals in the coming year. Choose pictures from the Internet or magazines. Use stamps, stickers, crayons, markers and more to decorate a vision board you will love to look at.

Tropical Paradise Bingo

The vacation week event provides hot weather fun on a cold winter day. Activities include a fearsome Jaws Headband, popsicle bracelets, and a fun game of bingo for silly prizes. Summery treats will be served.


Spanish for Kids

Hey Kids, learn the Spanish language with cultural immersion and total physical response method. Cindy Vogel, a former bilingual Spanish teacher for Grand Haven Public Schools, will lead the program. This Spanish program will be offered in three sessions with each session focusing on a specific topic. Signup required.

Gamefest with Joel Tacey

Game Master Joel Tacey hosts a video game night featuring Rockband, Guitar Hero III, Just Dance and SuperSmash Brothers Brawl. Drinks and snacks will fuel the players and Goofy Prizes will reward top players. Signup required. For grades 6 and up.
