November 7 Daylight Saving Ends

November 7 Daylight Saving Ends: From GovGab: "A wall clockOn Saturday night, November 6, before drifting off to a blissful slumber, most people will turn their clocks back one hour, because daylight saving time ends on November 7. If you are a stickler for details, you will wait until November 7 at precisely 2:00 a.m. local daylight time to set your clock back one hour which becomes 1:00 a.m. local standard time.

If you are like me, you will do none of the above, because you have forgotten completely about the time change. You will show up for church an hour early on Sunday morning and wonder what the heck is going on when the parking lot is empty and no one comes. You may sit and wonder, “Why was church cancelled?”

You may even decide to go shopping and then be confused as to why none of the stores are open; or quite possibly you may go to your favorite “Sunday dinner” restaurant that isn’t open either. You will begin to feel as if you were sucked into some “Twilight Zone” vortex and dumped into another reality where nothing is normal. Around 1:00 pm, suddenly you will have an epiphany that once again you forgot about setting your clock
back.

That is pretty much how it goes for me every year. I have come to accept this basic character flaw and have even considered starting a support program for others like me. As part of my program, I will share these resources:

The important thing is - Do not beat yourself up when you forget to set back your clock! Embrace your shortcomings as an opportunity for self-improvement.
