WEST MICHIGAN — The last day to register to vote in the Nov. 3 general election is Monday.
Key elections in the area include mayoral and city council seats in Norton Shores. Voters will have choices to make for Muskegon City Commission, and for multiple ballot issues in that city. There is a contested race to fill two vacant city council seats in Grand Haven as well.
Also in Grand Haven, voters will decide whether to change from an at-large to ward system for city council elections.
Meanwhile, a contested mayoral race is set in Montague, and council seats are up for grabs in Whitehall.
Some area school districts — Mona Shores, North Muskegon, Muskegon and Reeths-Puffer — also have elections.
